Food, wine and fashion and are the ingredients this culinary tour in Milan with Chef Ceci as your host!  Chef Ceci welcomes as you learn the art of Italian cooking in her home kitchen.  Under her guidance, you will learn how to prepare Milanese antipasti, pasta, main course and desserts using recipes that you’ll be able to recreate at home.

Tie on your apron for a day of cooking Milanense food, while sipping wine and enjoying sweet Italian hospitality. Under the guidance of our chef, you will prepare a full menu including farm-to-table ingredients of the highest quality.

Hands-On Cooking Class In Milan ~ 1 Day

Meet Chef Ceci for a warm introduction to your cooking class and menu of the day. Italian cooking is always seasonal and local, and here you will learn how to select the right produce, seasonal food notes and cooking techniques that will have you cooking like a chef!

Then tie on your apron and head into the kitchen for hands-on cooking. Start by preparing antipasto, such as stuffed vegetables, grilled eggplant rolled with cheese.  You’ll prepare homemade pasta, risotto, gnocchi or vegetarian minestrone.  Delicious main courses include:  meat, fish or a vegetable recipes for vegetarians.   Milanese dessert are a must – think tiramisù and semi-freddo, an Italian ice-cream cake.  

Each cooking class lasts about 2 ½ hours.  Lunch follows and includes the foods that were prepared in class.  End with an Italian espresso and a sweet dessert!!!

  • Hands-on cooking class preparing an antipasto, fresh pasta and sauce or risotto, a main course and dessert.
  • Lunch follows and includes the foods that were prepared in class.  Local wine, water and coffee included.
  • Recipe booklet and cooking diploma.
Program Prices:

$385 per person, based on 2 guests.

Cooking Classes are available at 10am or 6pm and last approximately 3 hours plus dining on the foods made in the cooking class to follow.

Market Tour & Cooking Class In Milan ~ 1 Day

Meet Chef Ceci early in the morning for a market visit followed by hands-on cooking class in her central Milan home. The market bustles first thing in the morning and fruit & vegetables are delivered from the nearby farms, fresh fish from the bay in Liguria, meats & cheeses from the Alps and oven-baked breads in all shapes and sizes. Ceci guides you through the market to learn about the local products in season and how to choose the best foods to bring back to the kitchen.

Then stroll back with Chef Ceci to her home kitchen to cook together, hands-on, a complete Italian four-course meal. Start by preparing the antipasto such as fresh tomato bruschetta, prosciutto e melone or insalata caprese, then a first course such as homemade pasta, risotto, gnocchi or vegetarian minestrone, a second course including meat, fish or a vegetable dish and a dessert such as tiramisù, chocolate cake, or fresh fruit salad with gelato. Menus vary based on the season and can accommodate food allergies, diet needs and menu requests.

Each cooking class lasts about 2 ½ hours in the kitchen, then lunch follows on the foods prepared in class. Sit down together to eat what you have prepared and Chef Ceci, also a wine sommelier, discusses the local wine choice & pairing. End with an Italian espresso and Chef Ceci awards your cooking diploma!
