Tuscan Farm Visit, Pasta Experience, Wine Tasting Lunch

Join us for a full day experience with our English-speaking driver and guide through the Tuscan hills.  The excursion includes a visit Montepulicano and an organic farm where you will see artisans at work.

Montepulciano is often called the town of Italian Renaissance nested on top of a peak dating back to 400 BC!. The experience begins with a walk through the piazza where you will see landmarks and noble palaces. Art and history blends as you continue along the main street leading us to the Piazza Grande, the real Acropolis of the town. Stop at the artisanal ateliers: the 85yo coppersmith, a pottery artist and mosaic master.  They share their stories and insight along the way.  Following the landmark tour, you will visit an historical wine cellar and discover Vino Nobile wine of Montepulciano aged naturally as since centuries ago. The Vino Nobile is among the best D.O.C.G. finest wines of Italy, with a a deep, intense, bold red bouquet produced in limited quantities with Sangiovese grapes.

Following the wine tour and tasting, your tour continues with lunch just 5 minutes away at an organic farm.  We will meet the owner who will lead us on a visit to the farm, vineyard and olive groove.  Here they also raise the beautiful Cinta Senese piglets.

Cinta Senese is a very ancient breed of swine dating back to 1300’s.  History tells us that this precious breed of pigs dates back to the middle ages as frescoes painted in the city hall of Siena – dating back to 1339 depict  a Cinta white and black pig there.

Following the farm tour, everyone enjoys lunch at the farm with local Tuscan cuisine, and  5 different varieties of cold cuts and artisan cheese produced onsite.
