Bologna One Day Cooking Class
Tie on your apron with our two sister Chefs – called sfogline, meaning women who make pasta by hand with a rolling pin and wooden tools in the heart of Bologna. Start your cooking class by preparing OO Farina, the finely ground white flour, then learn how to mix and knead the dough by hand, then allow it to rest. You will learn technique on making the sfoglia, then fold and twist creating the delicate pasta tagliatelle, ravioli and lasagne Bolognese with cheese and vegetable stuffings and seasonal sauces – burro e salvia, butter and sage, Bolognese, meat sauce, pomodoro, traditional tomato sauce, and in season – truffles! Following the cooking class, everyone enjoys the food that was prepared in the cooking class to follow with a toat of local wine included.

Market Tour & Cooking Class In Bologna
The one-day cooking class combines an early morning visit to the market followed by a hands-on cooking class. Every morning in Bologna, Slow Food artisans gather in the piazza to sell their seasonal and strictly local, called zero-kilometer – meaning that the products were grown less than one kilometer away. Farm-to-table fruits, vegetables and produce, artisan breads and cheese are just a few ingredients cultivated by contadini, farmers, and artisans that you’ll be using in your cooking class in this Parmigiano Reggiano and Balsamic tour Bologna. Stroll through the market and learn about seasonal fruits and vegetables, prime cuts of beef, Prosciutto, balsamic vinegar Bologna, and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
Following the market tour, head to the kitchen for your Bologna cooking class! Prepare a traditional Bologna menu including antipasto, fresh pasta and sauce, main and dessert. Choose from Pasta Making, Vegetarian or Advanced. Following the cooking class, everyone enjoys the food prepared in the cooking class to follow with a toast of local wine included.

To get acquainted with this beautiful city, you will have an unforgettable food tour Bologna and to artisan producers and purveyors to taste Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Balsamic vinegar, pasta & tortellini, tartufi, truffles, chocolate, wine and caffé! This area of Bologna is is brimming with artsian food shops that continue the Old World traditional that their forefathers started – 4th and 5th generations of families. Slow Food Earth Market Tour In Bologna
Start your morning in Bologna’s first metropolitan Earth Market in Italy. Every Saturday morning since 2008 Slow Food artisans and small-scale farmers gather in the piazza to showcase their seasonal and strictly local, called zero-kilometer, products, meaning the source is in the immediate area. All produce and products arrive directly from the producer to the consumer. Fruits and vegetables, breads, milk, yogurt, eggs, and fresh pasta – all guaranteed by the sun-weathered faces of the contadini, farmers, that grow, harvest and produce them.
Earth Market vendors are apart of a greater international network that follows Slow Food philosophy of good, clean, and fair. Guaranteeing not only high quality but establishing fair prices and environmentally sustainable methods. Stroll through the stalls enjoying the colorful scenes, tantalising aromas, and bustling sounds as you get an ‘insider’s view’ with your own personal guide. Discover the colorful market of prized artisans with interesting produce each with a story. Interact directly with producers, learn about the freshest fruits and vegetables in season, the best cuts of beef, the many kinds of cured Prosciutto, and artisan cheeses ripened at the peak of flavor.
